SNULT-English
SNULT (Seoul National University Language Test) is Korea’s most acknowledged foreign language proficiency test, administered by the Language Education Institute (LEI) at Seoul National University. Tests of Japanese, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, and Russian are administered on a regular basis, whereas tests of English, Portuguese, and Arabic are tested on an irregular basis.
Upon requests made by government agencies, public institutions, banks, and other general companies, SNULT was developed for the purpose of the selection of overseas dispatch agents or study-abroad students and has been administered for institutions since 1967.
Since August 2008, regular SNULT tests (on English and 6 other foreign languages) have been administered for the public. SNULT English was administered until 2016, and its regular administration resumes in 2020.
