Course Introduction
Teacher training program of Korean language for foreigners and overseas Koreans is a program to cultivate experts in the area of Korean language education both in and out of Korea. Through the program, KLEC contributes to globalization of Korean language and improvement in the quality of Korean language education. This program offers not only theoretical education including studies in Korean language, general linguistics and Korean language educational methodology, but also systematic practical training in on-going class observation, mock classes and student guidance along with self-development program through workshops and seminars. Those who have completed this program are currently working overseas as well as at Korean language educational institutions including SNU LEI.

2. Course Description
- 1. Regular Program in the Spring and Fall Sessions

① Each session consists of 14 weeks, the total of 130 hours of classes. ② Students meet three days a week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday). Classes run from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, and from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Fridays including non-major seminars (an elective course). ③ Further notice will be given on class observation (morning), visit to cultural heritage (morning), and individual student instructions. ④ Textbooks developed by SNU LEI are used in classes that are included in the tuition fees. - 2. Special Program in the Summer and Winter Sessions

① Each session consists of 5 weeks, the total of 130 hours of classes. ② Students meet five days a week (Monday to Friday). Classes run from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
and from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.③ Further notice will be given on class observation (morning), visit to cultural heritage (morning), and individual student instructions. ④ Textbooks developed by SNU LEI are used in classes that are included in the tuition fees.
3. Faculty
Faculty members of the program consist of professors at SNU, visiting professors, KLEC full-time lecturers and other specialists in Korean language education that provide students with various class styles including classroom lectures, practical training, group projects, presentation and discussion, observation, research, student guidance and first hand experience.
